Press Release: Burns & Wilcox Brokerage Continues Rapid Expansion with Addition of David Gross

DALLAS, TX (February 10, 2014) – Burns & Wilcox Brokerage today announced the hiring of David Gross as Managing Director, Dallas. Gross, who most recently served as Vice President and Senior Broker-Casualty for CRC, will report to Burns & Wilcox Brokerage President Denis Brady.

“David strengthens the depth of our casualty brokerage offering and provides Burns & Wilcox Brokerage a deeper footprint in Texas,” said Brady. “Additionally, his expertise in construction adds another key differentiator to further elevate our team.”

Gross will open the Burns & Wilcox Brokerage office in North Dallas, expanding the group’s geographic reach that now stretches to both coasts and extends south through Texas. His team will be responsible for delivering innovative solutions and providing expanded market access, both throughout Texas and nationwide.

“Burns & Wilcox Brokerage has such an incredible opportunity to fill a gap that exists in today’s wholesale brokerage space,” said Gross. “I was drawn to the firm’s limitless potential – the independence, 100 percent commitment to wholesale, privately held ownership and extensive resources within the Kaufman Financial Group make Burns & Wilcox Brokerage the ideal destination for the next stage in my career.”

Gross brings more than 20 years of experience to his new position. He spent 10 years in primary and excess casualty underwriting before moving to brokerage.

He is the second senior-level executive to join Burns & Wilcox Brokerage in the last two months. In December, Burns & Wilcox Brokerage tapped Evan Bull to lead its National Property Practice, a New York City-based specialty wholesale property team. Bull joined Burns & Wilcox Brokerage following more than 20 years at Marsh, where he most recently served as Managing Director for the U.S. property group.
